School rules

General Guideline :

Students must have a good haircut. Modern hair styles are strictly prohibited.

Students should be in their respective classes when the bell goes for the school.

No student is allowed to bring mobile phone or cash to the school except tuition fee. Those who bring mobile phones should submit it at the gate or in the reception, otherwise, it will be confiscated and strict action will be taken against the student.

No child will be allowed, without the written permission from the principal to leave the school premises once he/ she come to the school.

Trimming of nails should be done on regular basis. All students, except Sikh students, who have beard or moustache must be trimmed or shaved on regular basis.

Students must maintain discipline of the school strictly. They must maintain silence in and around the school campus and speak in a low voice. They should never be found violating the school rules.

School Principal/ Vice Principal or the teacher may be met only during visiting time. In case of urgency, to meet teachers, Principal’s

Parents/Authorized guardians are not allowed to meet their children during school hours except in case of an emergency for which permission must be procured from the Principal/ Vice Principal.

Every student should carry his/her school diary daily.

The name, standard and section of the pupil should be clearly marked on all his/her belongings.

Children should be always clean and neatly dressed. They are to wear the full school uniform on all class days and for all school functions.

At the first bell all the students must fall in line for the assembly and after the assembly move silently to their classrooms. Running or shouting along the school veranda or premises is forbidden.

All the students must be in their seats before the teacher enters the class. Students are not to be seen walking around the verandas during the class hours without permission. As and when changing classes, the students must walk in silence.

Students are not allowed to bring to the school transistors, cell phones, camera, comics, magazines or books other than textbooks, library books or any object liable to cause disturbance. Such materials will be confiscated.

Students should take care of all the school property. This is your second Home. They should not write or scratch on desk, chairs, walls or doors of the school, nor should they damage property belonging to others. Any damage done to the school property must be reported immediately and remedied by the offender. The decision of the Principal in the matter will be final.

The school is not responsible for goods or money lost from students. They are requested not to wear any ornaments. Money or articles should not be lent or borrowed.

The school holds no responsibility if a student is obliged to return home during class hours because of failure (i)to wear proper school uniform (ii) to bring proper class books (iii) to get parents signature whenever necessary or (iv) to attend class in time.

The school reserves the right to dismiss those students whose progress in studies is steadily unsatisfactory or whose guardians show little interest in the progress of their wards or whose conduct is harmful to others. Immorality, any act subversive to discipline, any objectionable activity inside or outside school hours, dishonest behavior or willful damage to school property etc. are always sufficient reasons for immediate suspension/dismissal.

Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut regularly.

Remarks made in the diary should be counter-signed by the parents/guardians only, on a regular basis.

Students and parents may not offer any presents or gifts to the teachers except with the explicit permission of the Principal.

After the school hours all students are expected to go home. They are not allowed to go to their friend's houses from the school.

No collection of money for any purpose whatsoever, maybe taken without the prior permission of the Principal.

All the students must speak in English within the class and in the school Premises. English conversation should be encouraged at home.

Every child attending the school is obliged to take part in drills, games, sports, physical exercises and other co-curricular activities.

The school authorities maintain a record of the address of parents in the school office and in their own interest they are requested to promptly intimate changes, if any, from time to time.

Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, late coming, wilful disobedience or conduct injurious to the tone and discipline of the school will be seriously dealt with. All pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their behaviour inside and outside the school.

Every student should endeavour to keep up the high tone of the school by excelling in good manners. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct.

Leave of absence is not granted without Prior Written Application from Parent/guardian except in cases of unforeseen circumstances and then only for serious reasons.

No one who is late or has been absent on the previous day will be admitted to the class without producing a leave application duly signed by the parent/guardian.

Conduct and Discipline :

School has profound faith in self-discipline as it believes that discipline is essential in all walks of life. It is an integral tool for the development of personality. The measures outlined are of ‘self-help’ variety and serve to inculcate an awareness in:

  • All pupils are expected to be neat and clean and wear the prescribed school uniform.
  • Shoes need to be well polished.
  • Girls are advised to make their hair into two plaits using ribbons.
  • Fancy/Ornamental hairdos/clips are not allowed.
  • Behavior/Deportment/Speech
  • Running in the corridors is prohibited.
  • Courtesy and politeness will be the hallmark of the pupils, who must greet all staff members, visitors and elders, showing due respect at all times.
  • Classroom discipline should be maintained.
  • Pupils must avoid loud talk in and out of classes, in the library and laboratories is a must.
  • Damage to school property will be penalized.
  • Litter must be put into litter bins/dustbins and waste paper baskets.
  • Students are required to show exemplary behavior in bus, van, auto, etc. Disciplinary action will be taken against those who violate this rule.

Guidelines for Parents :

Parents are expected to co-operate with the school in enforcing regularity and discipline in the children seeing that they prepare their lessons at home and take active interest in the activities of the school.

Attend the parent/teacher meetings to ensure child’s progress in school.

Your absence could be interpreted as indifference.

Write a note explaining why you could not attend the P.T.M.

Always pay the fees and other dues on time and avoid embarrassment to the child.

Birthday celebrations, giving gifts and sweets to children and staff are not permitted.

No child is permitted to leave the school premises once he/she comes to school.

Appointments with doctors must not be taken during school hours.

Parents, guardians or visitors are not allowed either to walk into classrooms or to meet the children or the teachers during school hours without the prior permission of the Principal.

Criticism of a student’s teachers or school in his/her presence should be prudently avoided, because it causes the student to lose his/her respect for the teacher, with the consequent failure to learn from her. If you have a legitimate complaint, report to the Principal directly and not to any member of the staff.

In all communication with the school, the name, standard, and section of the child should be clearly mentioned.

Sick students should not be sent to school.
